It's called Zeolite Clinoptilolite, a 100% natural mineral of volcanic origin that acts precisely where intoxication occurs, namely in the intestine.   Activated charcoal  Balances pH – it has an alkaline effect, softening and improving the overall taste of your tap water,  Zeolites are porous minerals with high absorbency and ion-exchange capacity. Their molecular structure is a dense network of AlO4 and SiO4 that generates cavities where water and other polar molecules or ions  are inserted/exchanged. Even though there are several synthetic or  natural occurring species of zeolites, the most widespread and studied  is the naturally occurring zeolite clinoptilolite (ZC). ZC is an  excellent detoxifying, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. As a  result, it is been used in many industrial applications ranging from  environmental remediation to oral applications/supplementation in vivo  in humans as food supplements or medical devices. Description: 

With a high-quality aluminium frame, DEPURION's compact MAX active system is a complete water treatment chain. The system includes a particle pre-filter with a washable nylon filter cartridge to remove suspended particles and a de-icing pre-filter to improve the performance of the UV-C system. An activated carbon -zeolite filter is also integrated to remove odours, improve taste and absorb carbon-based chemicals such as acetone. The last component in the water treatment chain is the UV-C system.

This system also includes a 12V pump that is adapted to the output of the UV-C system. The pump switches on around 30 seconds after the UV-C system is switched on, which ensures that the UV-C lamp has enough flow to reach maximum power. The system also has a service life monitor that signals when the lamp needs to be replaced.

The system can be operated by connecting it to a 12V power supply, a cigarette lighter or a photovoltaic panel. The complete system is housed in a robust aluminium structure and is already fully pre-assembled. The DEPURION DVGW All-in-one UVC is a high-quality and reliable product that has been developed for the disinfection of drinking water. The system is certified in accordance with the standards of the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW) and the Austrian Gas and Water Association (ÖVGW), thus meeting the highest quality standards.

At what point should the UV-C system be installed in the drinking water circuit?

A UV-C disinfection system is always the last link in a water treatment chain, as the distance to the point of abstraction must be kept as short as possible. Water filters, in particular, offer ideal conditions for colonisation by bacteria. Thus, newly disinfected water would become contaminated again if it continued to pass through the drinking water circuit after passing through the UV-C system. In addition, pressure vessels should always be installed upstream of UV-C systems.

Why does the UV-C lamp have to be replaced after 10,000 hours, even though it is still working?

When do I need a lifetime check?

Lifetime monitoring is recommended for all users who do not leave the system switched on permanently. It is recommended to replace the lamp every 10,000 hours, as the manufacturer does not guarantee performance beyond this period, i.e. the amount of UV-C radiation dose required for safe disinfection.

Can this unit overheat?

If no water is removed when the lamps are operating, the water inside the system heats up. With the 10W, 17W and 36W units, this effect is negligible, as the water temperature does not rise above 40°C. However, if the water is heated to more than 40°C, as is possible when using the 48W and 90W versions, the life of the lamp can be negatively affected. For these installations, it is therefore recommended to ensure a constant water flow.

Does the system switch on automatically when water flows through?

The UV system must be switched on permanently for various technical reasons:

1) The UV system needs about 1 minute to reach full capacity.

2) Switching on the lamp requires approximately the same amount of energy as a two-hour operation.

3) Each switch-on and switch-off cycle is detrimental to the service life.

How do I know which UV-C system is right for me?

What is important here is not the average water consumption per day, but the maximum quantities that can be removed. The right drinking water system is therefore determined by the existing taps and the number of people in the house. A tap that is turned on to the maximum has a capacity of 300 to 500 litres per hour. If in doubt, the next strongest system should be used.

Do you recommend disinfecting the tank?

No, we recommend flow reactors, because this way the maximum distance between the water to be disinfected and the UV-C lamp is precisely defined. A tank disinfection system can only guarantee complete disinfection if it has a pre-calculated circulation. In addition, flow reactors are significantly more efficient.

What do I need a sensor for and how does it differ from lifetime monitoring?

Can I use these systems as drinking water systems?
